What is Smartseal?

Smartseal uses a high quality GRP roofing system more commonly known as Glass Reinforced Polyester. It is widely used in many day applications where a lightweight durable and totally seamless system is needed. One typical problem with traditional bitumen based roofing systems is that they have seams or joints which are weak. Smartseal’s system is totally seamless and is also unaffected by the extremes of weather. Smartseal’s system is not affected by the frequent changes in British weather, whereas bitumen based products expand and bubble in the heat of summer and contract and crack in the cold of the winter.

F300 flat sheeting.

C100 replaces traditional lead flashings and comes with or without an integral moisture trap. D260 is for application with abutting walls and gutter linings. It ‘floats’ unattached beneath the c100 to allow for expansion of the substrate. It also provides cross-roof ventilation. F300 is flat sheeting used for continuous flashing under slate at the junction with the roof as shown in the example. It can be used for gutter lining, cavity trays etc.
